Able to swim 100m continuously
without buoyancy aid. |

Equipment: |
1.
All competitors must use the race
equipment provided by the Organizer. Use of personal race equipment is NOT
allowed. 2.
All competitors in coastal rowing
and dragon boat events must wear the buoyancy aids provided by the Organizer. |

1. Each individual can only make one registration in each event. 2. Registration fee of HKD50 per competitor per event. a. Registration fee includes a souvenir t-shirt and refreshment. b. Registration fee will NOT be refunded when the event is cancelled due
to adverse weather. c. Full refund of the registration fee will be arranged only when the
event is cancelled due to too few registrations. 3.
Registration forms can be downloaded at the
following links. Please email the registration form and registration fee
bank-in slip (payable to The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology,
Bank account code 012-875-1-070111-7 at Bank of China) to opwsc@ust.hk on or before 9 September

Helmsman to be provided by
the Organizer 4.
Team wants to use own Helmsman must
submit the documentary proof of the Dragon Boat Helmsman Course offered by
the Hong Kong China Dragon Boat Association or the Hong Kong Canoe Union of
the nominated Helmsman at registration. |

Event Rules |
1.
Mixed Quad: 2 km Triangular
course. 2. Mixed Double: The course will be straight line 500m
distance; 1 rounds; the best time achieved to decide the ranking. 3. Teams will be assigned to lane and group by lot draw. 4. Max. 2 teams in each race. |

The course will be straight line
200m distance. 2.
Teams will be assigned to lane and
group by lot draw. 3. 2 rounds; Low point scoring system is used in the rounds.
Each team gains points according to the finishing position for each round
while absentees / those who did not finish the race / disqualified will gain
6 points. The 1st and 2nd lowest cumulative point team of each group will go
to Final. 4. If teams get the same total scores after two rounds, the
last round result will decide which teams will go to Final. |
1.
Four 7-minute quarters, with a
2-minute break after the first 3 quarters. 2.
Penalty shot to decide the winner
in case of a tie at the end of regulation time. |
